Guess That Doodle was awarded Maddie’s Golden Toy 2026 at The Toy Fair in London, presented by Maddie Moate and Gavin Inskip as the show was drawing to a close on Wednesday evening.
The award was given as a surprise at our stand following two days of live Toy Fair TV coverage, where the presenters had been visiting exhibitors, filming segments, and playing games across the show floor. Each presenter selected their favourite product from the event, with Maddie choosing Guess That Doodle.
Guess That Doodle launched in December 2025, just one month before Toy Fair, making the award particularly meaningful. It was the first time the game had been showcased to a wide trade audience.
During the show, Maddie played a round of the game with us at the stand. When the award was announced, herself and Gavin returned with balloons, streamers, a sash, and a medal, catching us completely off guard.
The feedback at the time focused on how approachable the game is, the speed at which players can start playing, and how entertaining it is to watch, even when drawings are far from perfect.
The game was recognised for its ease of play, strong shelf appeal, and solid component quality. The rules are quick to explain, making it suitable for a wide range of players, and the format encourages laughter and interaction without relying on drawing skill.
As a title that blends card-based play with additional components, Guess That Doodle represents a step beyond our core card-only range, while still staying true to our focus on simple, social gameplay.
Following the award, the sash remained on display at the stand for the remainder of the show. Retailers and visitors stopped to congratulate us, with some recognising us outside the venue the following day.
While the award did not change the flow of the show, it added a clear piece of social proof to conversations and highlighted the direction we are taking with future releases.
For Guess That Doodle, the award places the game firmly within the wider board game space, supported by recognition from Toy Fair TV. It also sets a foundation for building on this momentum as we continue to expand our range.
